The Florida Legislature continues to make cannabis history as Senate Bill 902 and House Bill 363 known as the "Hemp Industry Development Act" continue to move through the Senate. While no action has been seen in the House, lawmakers are still confident this bill will become law in 2015.
The bills, if made into law, would allow hemp producers to register their crop with the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. This would not only allow for the cultivation of domestically-grown cannabis containing no more than 0.3% THC, but make possession of any product made from hemp legal.
