About The Florida Legislature
Each year, all of Florida's 160 lawmakers meet in Tallahassee for the regular legislative session, a time, defined by Florida statute, when laws are created and amended. Typically, regular sessions of the Legislature begin on the first Tuesday after the first Monday in March and continue for 60 consecutive days.
